Motion of an active particle in a linear concentration gradient

چکیده

Janus particles self-propel by generating local tangential concentration gradients along their surface. These are present in a thin layer whose thickness is small compared to the particle size. Chemical asymmetry surface prerequisite generate chemical gradient, which gives rise diffusioosmotic flows region around particle. This results an effective slip on observed "swimming" motion of freely suspended even absence externally imposed gradients.Motivated chemotactic behaviour biological counterparts(such as sperm cells, neutrophils, macrophages, bacteria etc.), sense and respond external gradients, current work aims at developing theoretical framework study linear gradient. The gradient with self-generated determines swimming velocity orientation particle. The dominance each these effects characterised non-dimensional activity number A. modelled having different mobility coefficient two halves.Using Lorentz Reciprocal theorem, analytical expression for rotational translational obtained. helps us divide parameter space into four regions where exhibits trajectories.

Evaluation of Early Active Controlled Motion in Flexor Tendon Repair

Objectives: The objective was to determine the results of early active controlled motion in the patients rehabilitated by our new protocol. Methods: 91 fingers in 64 patients with flexor tendon repair in all zones were enrolled in a single group (quasi-experimental) clinical trial. 58 fingers in 43 patients were assessed at least three months postoperatively. Outcomes were defined using the ...

development and implementation of an optimized control strategy for induction machine in an electric vehicle

in the area of automotive engineering there is a tendency to more electrification of power train. in this work control of an induction machine for the application of electric vehicle is investigated. through the changing operating point of the machine, adapting the rotor magnetization current seems to be useful to increase the machines efficiency. in the literature there are many approaches wh...

Gradient-Enhanced Particle Filter for Vision-Based Motion Capture

Tracking of rigid and articulated objects is usually addressed within a particle filter framework or by correspondence based gradient descent methods. We combine both methods, such that (a) the correspondence based estimation gains the advantage of the particle filter and becomes able to follow multiple hypotheses while (b) the particle filter becomes able to propagate the particles in a better...
